Our good friends Nicole and Barry are getting ever so close to welcoming their first child into the world. They’re both really excited!… and we’re really excited for them. You may remember them from a post last year where we did an anniversary shoot for them. They’re always so easy to work with and make each other (and us) laugh so often, that we hardly have to do a thing besides be there with camera’s ready. As always, we’ve included our favorites from the shoot. Enjoy!

Mickey, their dog, couldn’t help himself and had to be in a few of the photos.

Gotta embrace the weather!

That is one lucky baby to inherit these looks!

Barry and Nicole – You two are the best! We can’t wait for your baby to come and see you two as parents. Thanks again for having us take these. And we look forward to taking more soon!
Thanks to everyone else for stopping by; have a wonderful day!

One of our 2010 “goals” is to try out a new eatery each month. There are so many good places where we’ve not dined. We love variety. Love interesting food. We’re really appreciative of great ingredients (grown the right way), creative chefs and an atmosphere that adds to the flavor. Cooking is a daily treat for us, and we’ve been making some yummy things lately. But it’s a welcome break when we can dine out, and we’re expecting a really pleased palate following our special monthly outings. The list has been tentatively set through December 2010, and we’ll share photos (and a bit of commentary) following each dining experience! Some of our of choices may be new restaurants while others have been fixtures around town for a long time, and we’ve just been missing out for far too long! (Note: January escaped us! Well, we did try out a great place in downtown Nashville, TN (The Flying Saucer), we did not document it…silly. )
February pick: Brunch @ Taste Cafe, 5164 N. College Avenue, Indpls, IN
Our eats: Coffee (J); Cafe Mocha (K); Southwest Burrito w/ Chorizo (split); Pommes Frites w/ Basil Aioli (split)
This Broad Ripple gem did not disappoint. It really made our day, plus we had some awesome company. Big props to the pommes frites and the man behind the counter that convinced us these must be ordered. Future cravings are certain to follow. The burrito was superb, the whipped avocado still makes our mouths tingle with joy.

In my never ending attempt to be the best Uncle in the world, one of my first priorities is to make sure that my nieces and nephews get away with as much as possible. So, when everyone was over at our house and my brother and sister said “bedtime,” I quickly said “PHOTOBOOTH!” And we were able to stay up later and have some more fun. Here’s the outcome!
The kids started it off!

Enter the props!

These glasses were worn by many that night… none better then Abram in this photo.

Even Log joined in the fun… I mean whoever that is.
(psst, your secrets safe with me Log)

Creepy!

Super creepy!!!

Yes Molly, we’re just as weirded out as you are!

Jen never looked better then that evening!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you had a giggle or two.
