The Althoffs are back and better then ever. Our adopted nephews are growing up and getting big… and holding onto their cuteness. We love these people. And once you see the photos, I’m sure you’ll understand why.

The GLOW at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway!

The IMS is celebrating their centennial for the next two years. The celebration actually started last year. So why does it take three years to celebrate? Well, because before any car race took place at the IMS, there were two years of hot air balloon races! I’m not sure of the exact history behind it all, but it sounds pretty neat. One amazing part of the celebration is the GLOW. It’s a night race for the hot-air balloons. And for this amazing event, we had some amazing seats!

I think this photo really shows how excited Jennifer is about this May.

Sadly there was too much wind for the balloons to get up, so they preformed a “candle-stick burn.” It went really well with fireworks once it got dark!

“The Polar Plunge” (and the craziness that it encompasses)

Somewhere in the long list of things to do before I die sits the accomplishment of taking a “polar plunge.” I’ve wanted to try it since I was a kid and saw these crazy people jumping into the ice-covered water on the news. This past weekend I had a chance at the Indiana Special Olympics‘ Polar Plunge at Eagle Creek. However, I was busy photographing the event. So, I’ll have to wait to a little longer before I get to mark it off the list. The best part about me choosing the warmer way to volunteer for the event is that I have photos to share. So enjoy just a “few” of my favorites from the event.

Great Clips was there helping to put finishing touches on everyone’s costumes.

You burn a lot of calories while doing the plunge, Dunkin Donuts was there to put us back at normal.

The costumes were great!

Scotty from 100.9 Radio Now could not stop squeezing the woopie cushion.

There was even dancing while the water was prepared.

Miss Indiana and Indiana Teen were there to warm everyone up!

The crowd of supporters was amazing. Way to go fans of crazy people!

A HUGE Thanks to the Police and Firemen there to keep everything safe and fun!

T.H. Bridal Show Appearance

Look out Hautians, we’re coming back! We’ll be at the Tribune Star/Hulman Center Bridal Show this Sunday 12-4pm (yes, Superbowl Sunday)! And if we’re going to be there all day, you’ve got to stop by and say “hi.” We even have about 10 free tickets to hand out, so send me (through email) your home address, and I’ll send you a set. We’re really excited about our new booth design, which we feel is a huge upgrade from the old (old booth shown below). And if you stop by Jen will dance for you (see below again)!
