I first met Katie in the Fall of 2000. A bright young girl with a love for animals, a gentle heart and a super smile. I became her Big Sister that year, and on many occasions thereafter we took enjoyment in shopping trips, movie-going, bowling and pumpkin carving. I took her along to some of my functions on campus…always open and up for anything! Today, she is a high-school graduate. She’s toughed it out, and easily could have settled. But she battled, and won, and I’m so so proud of her!
What a beautiful, young woman she’s become. Congratulations, Katie!
