It’s May!

It’s May.  It’s Spring.  (2010 is flying by…eeks!)  The temperature is rising.  It’s also the month where our lovely city hosts the world’s greatest race – The Indianapolis 500!  Really, it is an incredible spectacle and gets me so fired up.  We are lucky to have such a monumental tradition.  And we are also lucky to be guest to a variety of activities during the month.  First up is this Saturday’s Mini-Marathon.  Sidelined by knee struggles (“keep it to 10Ks” says the doc), I’ll be documenting the fun through my camera lens.  I’ve accepted the loss for the second year in a row, reluctantly, but it will be much less painful, and I won’t feel aged to 80 the next day (been there, done that).  Plus, I’ll have many photos to show for it and can cheer on my other runner friends in the race.

Look out for the hot, new Camaro pace car replicas on the road.  They’re mean, awesome monsters, and I had the privilege to take a lap around the track in one.  It was incredible!  Here it is, up close and personal.
